What to Expect

Stepping into a new space requires no small amount of courage and risk. We’re grateful you’re considering what it might be like to take that step of faith. We want to help lower the fear threshold for experiencing Grace Pointe live and in-person. There’s nothing like the “real thing.” One way we can do that is to help you know virtually what you’ll see and experience on your first visit here. We think you’ll find Grace Pointe to be easy to navigate and filled with unpretentious people who come alongside of each other as we seek to take one step forward on our journeys of faith.

Each week our preaching team shares a relevant and engaging sermon from the Bible. Whether this is your first time attending church or you’ve been attending all your life, you’ll find spiritual encouragement each week. Check out this sample sermon.

Grace Pointe offers and exciting worship experience each week with a live band.

We have plenty of parking, including several dedicated spaces for First Time Visitors, young families with infants or anyone needing a little extra help. This dedicated lot is right in front of our front entrance. Think of those as our VIP spaces just for you!

We encourage everyone to come however they feel most comfortable. We have people in 3-piece suits and people in shorts so you’re sure to fit right in regardless of what you wear. This isn’t about putting on your Sunday Best. It’s about putting on the real you.

Upon arriving to Grace Pointe Plainfield, you will be greeted at the door. Please let these individuals know that you are new and interested in the programs available for children. They will get you connected with the right people in the right classrooms.

Our registration process happens in the classrooms. You will be asked to fill out a new visitors/family form. You only need to fill out one form even if you have children in multiple classrooms. You will receive a visitors tag and number for the first few times that you come. Teachers or Director will explain the programs and procedures to you. We will help get you child(ren) settled and involved in the classroom activities.

Children grades kindergarten through 3rd grade meet in Room #118. Children 4th-5th Grade meet in the Sanctuary for worship and then head to Room #120 for class time. 4th-5th Graders attend service typically once a month on the 4th Sunday. K-5th graders all attend service on the months with 5 Sundays.

Grace Pointe offers an excellent Junior High and High School Ministry. These age groups meet after the worship service during connecting groups in Room 120. You can learn more about Youth Ministry meetings by visiting our Junior High section or High School section.
