Our Vision, Mission and Values
We envision “a world full of healthy local churches.”
We work toward that Vision by being laser-focused on spiritual maturity. Our mission is, “To help as many people become as much like Jesus Christ in the shortest time possible.” Grace Pointe is growing, changing, and learning to be a community where everyone can mature in Christ.
To help guide us in our Mission toward our Vision, we have 4 Core Values that make up the heart of our church:
The Word is the Filter: The bible helps discern His voice.
Pray at all Times: A running dialogue with Him keeps us on track.
Love Shapes Character: Because God is Love.
Go to Grow: The order matters.
What We Believe
We believe in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the sinless Son of God, born of a virgin by the Holy Spirit. He died on the cross as a perfect and complete sacrifice in our place and for our sins. He was resurrected and is now our High Priest and advocate before the Father. We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts men of sin and regenerates the sinner at the moment they accept Christ as Savior. The Holy Spirit indwells, guides, and empowers the believer for godly living and service. Exodus 20:2-3, Psalm 147:5, Isaiah 45:18, John 1:3, John 4:24, Matthew 3:6-17, I John 5:7, Matthew 1:20-23, John 14:9, I John 1:1-3, II Corinthians 5:21, John 1:1-2, Hebrews 1:5,8, Hebrews 4:14,15; 7:24,25; 8;1,2; 9:24-26, John 14:16,17, Matthew 28:19, John 16:14, John 16:7-11, Matthew 28:19, John 16:13,15; 14:26, Luke 24:29, Romans 8:26,27, Ephesians 1:13, John 14:16,17; 3:5,6, Romans 8:14-16, Ephesians 1:14; 4:30
We believe that man was created by God in His own image, but by his own will chose to sin. The entire human race is, therefore, lost and only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ and regeneration of the Holy Spirit can spiritual life be obtained. Genesis 1:26,27, Genesis 3:1-7, Romans 5:12-19, Galatians 3:22, Romans 3:12,23
We believe the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired Word of God without error, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of man and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith, life, and conduct. II Timothy 3:16,17, II Peter 1:19-21, Psalm 19:7-11, Matthew 5:17-19, Luke 4:1-12, Psalm 119
We believe that the atoning death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provides the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe. John 1:14, Philippians 2:5-11, Luke 19:10, I Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 9:28, John 3:18; 5:25, Acts 16:31, Romans 10:9-13, John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8,9, Titus 3:5-7, John 10:28,29, Ecclesiastes 3:14
We believe in the personal, return of our Lord Jesus Christ and that the hope of His appearing has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer. I Thessalonians 1:10; 4:13-18, Revelation 3:10, Romans 14:12, II Corinthians 5:10; John 5:28, 29; Revelation 20:5; John 11:25,26; Jeremiah 30:7; Daniel 9:26,27; Matthew 24:15-22; II Thessalonians 2:8-12; Revelation 13:1-8, 11-17; Isaiah 9:6,7; Jeremiah 3:17; Revelation 20:1-5; Joel 3:9-16; Matthew 24:29-31; 25:31-46, II Thessalonians 1:4-9; Jude 14-15; Revelation 1:7; Psalm 9: 7,8; Philippians 2:10,11; I Peter 4:5; Revelation 20:11-15; Isaiah 66:22; II Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1-4; 10:27
God transforms believers to a lifestyle that reflects His heart and nature. His call is for His people to be holy, as He is holy. This holiness is reflected in our relationships, conduct and ethics. Romans 12:1-2; 14:13,14, II Corinthians 6:14; 7:1, II Timothy 3:1-5; I John 2:15-17; Leviticus 11:45
We believe that the Church is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ, of which He is the head. We believe that the church is to live out the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. The church is called upon to engage in fervent and frequent prayer so that men might live in redemptive relationships with God and man. Ephesians 5:30-31, Colossians 1:18-24, I Corinthians 12:13, Ephesians 1:22,23, I Corinthians 10:32, Hebrews 10:25, I Corinthians 16:1,2, Acts 2:42, Acts 1:8, I Corinthians 3:6-9, Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 2:8,9, Titus 3:5, Numbers 6:24-26, Matthew 17:21, John 17, I Thessalonians 5:17, I Timothy 2:8, Jude 20
The church practices baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper as proper methods of testimony to God’s redemptive work through Jesus Christ our Lord. Matthew 26:26-29, Acts 2:41-42; 18:8, I Corinthians 11:23-28
We believe in the existence of angels who worship God and minister to believers. We also believe in the existence of Satan who with his demons oppose God, His people, and His work, but over whom Christians can and ultimately will have spiritual victory. John 3:36; 8:21,25; I John 5:12, Luke 16:25-28, Revelation 21:8, Matthew 10:28, Matthew 13:49-50
We believe that marriage is an institution between a male and a female. We believe that the homosexual lifestyle is one that is a result of brokenness in the world as a whole; and because we believe that God does not condone brokenness, but wholeness, Grace Pointe Church cannot condone the sin of homosexuality. By extension, we cannot, in good biblical conscience, marry those practicing homosexual life styles. While we love broken people, we cannot condone brokenness as the Biblical path toward wholeness and holiness. Romans 1:26-28, Jude 1:7, I Timothy 1:8-11, Matthew 19:406, Ephesians 5:22-33, I Corinthians 7:1-9, Colossians 3:18-19
