Scripture: Acts 8:24-40

This message calls us to see obedience not as the absence of uncertainty, but often as walking straight into it. Philip’s encounter on the road to Gaza shows that God rarely gives a full roadmap, but often gives only the next faithful step. The growth of the Gospel in Acts did not happen because believers had every answer, but because they trusted the Spirit enough to move when He prompted. God reaches the lost through the obedience of the found, and Philip’s encounter with the Ethiopian eunuch shows how ordinary obedience can open extraordinary doors for salvation. The message also reminds us that the Spirit is already moving in the hearts of people around us, and faithful witnesses are simply learning to join conversations God is already preparing. As we make ourselves available to God, we discover that obedience often leads us into uncertainty, but never outside of His purposes.
